Puppies can sometimes be destructive (ie: chewing up things, digging, etc.) How would you feel and what action would you take if your puppy dug holes in the yard, chewed up your favorite shoes, broke something valuable, pooped or peed in your house?

Puppy will be kept as a family member in the house. Desert Gems does not place puppies into outdoor living/kennel situations.

I acknowledge that if I receive a puppy from Desert Gems Griffons that if for any reason, in the lifetime of the dog, I am unable to keep the puppy, I will immediately contact Desert Gems for assistance in re-homing.

All Puppies are sold with limited AKC and NAVHDA registration. We do not sell breeding rights. If you are interested in a co-ownership situation, please see the next item.

As part of our breeding program, Desert Gems places the pick puppies from each litter into co-ownership homes. These puppies will become part of our future breeding program. Puppies in co-ownership homes must be in hunt homes. Additionally, the co-owner must agree to hunt test and allow the puppy to be shown in conformation. Only check this box if you are interested in learning more about co-ownership. We would love to talk to you more about showing/hunt testing your puppy if this is something that you are interested in.

Desert Gems does not have owners “pick” puppies from the litter. All puppies are evaluated for temperament and drive. Homes will be picked by the breeder based on your application and our conversations on what you are looking for. Every Griffon has their own personality. Griffons can range from laid back and chill to hard driving hunting dogs. We want to make sure the right dog is placed in the right home for your activity level.

Deposit Policy: Desert Gems does not take deposits to be on our waiting list. Once a pregnancy is confirmed, prospective owners in the top few spots will be given the opportunity to place a deposit based on the puppy count on ultrasound. Once the puppies are born and we have a final count, additional people on the waiting list will be contacted, Our deposit amount is $500. Deposits are non-refundable unless there is an unsuccessful whelping or Desert Gems does not have a puppy for you in the litter.
